Non-Executive Director (Non-GP)

The Gold Coast Primary Health Network (GCPHN) is seeking to appoint a locally based non-executive Director to their established governing Board. The right candidate will possess knowledge of health service delivery in the Gold Coast Region.

The GCPHN Board is responsible for consolidating and enabling long-term success through appropriate and timely strategic thinking, planning and priority setting in line with the organisation’s objectives.

It is a requirement that the board as a whole consists of Directors with appropriate competencies, skills and experience as determined by an agreed upon skills matrix. As such, Directors do not represent their profession or any other body. Rather they are selected based on the Skills Matrix and must act only in the best interests of the company (among their other duties).

Clinical Council Advisory Members

GCPHN is seeking to appoint four (4) new members to join the Clinical Council. The term of appointment is 2 years. Opportunties are available for: General Practitioner (Employed not Principal), Pharmacist, Psychologist and Psychiatrist. 

The Clinical Council assists the PHN to develop local strategies to improve the operation of the health care system, facilitate efficient primary health care provision to reduce avoidable hospital presentations and admissions through strategic, cost-effective investment and innovation.

The Board of the Gold Coast Primary Health Network (GCPHN) are currently seeking nominations from local clinicians/health professionals to fill the four positions for the GCPHN Clinical Council

General Practice Lead - Mental Health

GCPHN has an exciting opportunity for a General Practice Lead - Mental Health to join their team on a fixed term, part-­time (0.6 FTE/3 days/22.5 hours per week) contract basis until 30th June, 2018.

Reporting to the Director of Commissioning (Programs), this role will see you providing General Practitioner advice and leadership into the development and adoption of the Mental Health Stepped Care approach to support improved primary healthcare.
